Abuse Awareness Insert

This year, the Abuse Awareness theme for this special Sunday is ""Standing For Truth."" Truth-telling is costly, but it is essential. It is not always easy to face uncomfortable realities, yet the courage to stand up for truth calls us to reject cover-ups and demand accountability. Too often, silence shields abuse and protects the powerful instead of the vulnerable. Fear can keep us quiet, but the church is called to a courageous witness.

On this Abuse Awareness Sunday, let us renew our commitment to truth so that the vulnerable are protected and healing and hope are possible.
